조은지 작가는 인간 외에도 의식을 가진 다양한 생명체가 존재하며, 그들의 언어 체계가 다르다는 점을 이용해 의식의 영역을 확장하고 자아를 탐구하는 실험을 해왔다. 2018년 제작된 ⟨문어의 노래⟩는 인간과 동떨어진 지각 체계로 세상을 인식하는 문어의 몸짓을 표현한 퍼포먼스이다. 작가는 문어의 구조를 통해 다중 자아를 조사하고, 문어의 몸을 관찰하면서 얻은 직관을 이용하여 창조한 상상적 언어를 문어의 몸짓을 통해 보여준다. ⟨문어요가 퍼포먼스 Instructional Version⟩ 비디오가 전시장에 상영되며, 관람자들은 영상을 보며 요가 동작을 따라 하고, 의식의 영역을 확장하거나 감소하는 명상 수련을 통해 새로운 관점으로 의식의 확장을 탐구하는 시간을 갖는다.

Eunji Cho has experimented with expanding the realm of consciousness and exploring the self, based on the fact that there are various living things other than humans and that they use a different language system. Octopus Song 2018 a performance that expresses the movement of the octopus whose perceptual system to recognize the world is remote from how the human system works. Cho examines multiple selves through the structure of the octopus and shows an imaginary language through the movement of the octopus that she created using intuition gained by observing the octopus. The Octopus Yoga Performance Instructional Version will be screened in the exhibition gallery, and audiences may take time to explore the expansion of consciousness from a new perspective through repeating yoga positions of the video and practicing meditation to expand or reduce the realm of consciousness.
